MD Tracker is an independent, privately developed app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any government entity or official authority. It is a free, personal document expiry reminder tool built for individual convenience — it is not an official government service and does not submit, verify, or process documents with any authority.
Document names, dates, notes and any photos you add are saved only on this device. MD Tracker is fully offline — there is no account, no email verification, and no cloud backup of any kind. Nothing you enter is ever transmitted anywhere.
Your 4-digit PIN and fingerprint are never sent anywhere; they only unlock the app on this device and are not recoverable by anyone — including us — if forgotten.
The app asks for camera or gallery access only when you choose to attach a photo to a document. The photo is saved locally and is never transmitted anywhere by the app itself.
When you scan a document, the app tries to read the expiry date directly off the photo using on-device text recognition — the image itself is processed locally inside the app and is not uploaded anywhere for this. The first time you scan, the app downloads a small, one-time text-recognition language file from a public content delivery network (not from MD Tracker's own servers, since it doesn't have any); after that it's cached on your device. You can always correct or enter the date yourself — the reader is a convenience, not a requirement.
If you allow notifications, the app uses them only to remind you about your own documents' expiry dates. No notification content leaves your device.
When you choose "Share PDF" or "WhatsApp", your device's own share sheet opens so you can decide exactly where that document goes. The app does not send it anywhere on its own. When you use "Save as PDF" or "Share PDF", the PDF file is generated and stored locally on your own device's storage. The app does not transmit this PDF or its content to any external cloud or server.
Uninstalling the app, or using Clear All Data in Settings, permanently removes everything the app has stored. See our Delete Account & Data page for step-by-step instructions.
